Reflecting on a Golden Year:
GlamperRV 2025 Retrospective
As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on a golden year, a truly spectacular 2025. Whilst the sun generated a golden glow, it has been a season defined by unforgettable journeys, expansions, and a growing loyal community that makes GlamperRV what it is. My personal most treasured discovery this year was undoubtedly Wild with Consent. While we had been admirers for some time, this summer saw us finally immersing ourselves in their offering. We enjoyed truly memorable nights at two distinct and beautiful locations, experiencing the joy of sophisticated ‘wild’ camping (see images below).
The season kicked off with exceptional momentum. We saw a flurry of early bookings, swiftly followed by the exciting delivery of five new motorhomes. Our team immediately began the meticulous process of transforming these into the next generation of GlamperRV.
The transformation is comprehensive, spanning everything from bespoke exterior painting to the upgrading of interior fabrics. This obsessive attention to detail is precisely what ensures our luxury A-class motorhomes maintain their distinct, stand-out elegance.
A vital (and exciting) part of the process involves the test trip to ensure every detail is functionally perfect. Our 2025 trials included:
- Hayling Island: A refreshing March escape where we enjoyed a virtually private, waterside pitch. Beyond testing the onboard facilities, the mission was to complete the 25km perimeter walk—achieved in a day, punctuated by delightful lunch and cake stop en route.
- Riverside Camping, Wallingford: A firm favourite, conveniently located for catching up with friends over dinner in this pretty riverside market town.
- Grafton Lock Meadow, Oxfordshire: A stunning, sunny May evening spent just a field away from the River Thames (pictured above). The glorious sunset seemed to stretch on forever, confirming its place on our must-visit list (despite the tight entrance!)
- Yorkshire: An excursion centred around motor racing at Oulton Park, neatly combined with a stopover in historic York on the journey home.
I gain as much pleasure from hearing about your adventures as I do our own. The variety of our guest trips this summer were inspirational:
- Stoke Park: Our GlamperRV created a fun, on-site ‘campervan village’ at the owner’s prestigious annual summer party — a truly magnificent venue.
- Boutique Wedding Accommodation: We were delighted to deliver GlamperRV to several summer weddings, offering stylish, on-site accommodation for guests. Many of our owners love this benefit, using their own vehicle as their personal boutique hotel for events and parties.
- Glastonbury: Delivering our fleet to the VIP luxury of Pennard Orchard and Camp Kerala is always one of my favourite weeks of the year. The vibrant, anticipatory energy as the teams prepare for their high-profile guests is infectious.
- French Grand Tours: Many guests enjoyed exceptional trips across France, from an eight-night jaunt to Northern France to a magnificent five-week, non-motorway tour along the West Coast down to the Mediterranean Sea. A fascinating note: this customer averaged an impressive 29MPG across 2,500 miles!
- The Scottish Highlands: The North never fails to deliver epic scenery. This year, one regular customer ventured to a private harbour they have acquired on the North Coast, with plans to develop it—we are eagerly anticipating the prospect of a very special GlamperRV overnight spot.Our year in Numbers
A few key facts that summarise the extraordinary scope of the year:- 45,000 miles driven by the GlamperRV fleet in 2025.
- Over 100 customers, with 49% being repeat guests—a figure we are immensely proud of, signifying true loyalty.
- 10 European countries explored.
- Over £100k in VAT contributed to HMRC – let’s hope some goes to fixing those potholes!
