Last summer, one of our GlamperRV families headed to the Dolygaer Activity Centre in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. It’s a rare find: a site that offers the thrill of the unknown—from caving and canoeing to canyoning—under the watchful eye of passionate, expert instructors.

• The View: Pitches are generous and tranquil, offering sweeping views across the Pontsticill Reservoir.
• The Location: Perfectly positioned between rolling hills, it serves as a sophisticated base for exploring the wilder corners of the  Brecon Beacons.

For a truly diverse Welsh adventure, we recommend pairing the mountains with the south coast. A short, scenic drive south brings you to the Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

At the heart of the Gower lies Rhossili Bay, frequently voted one of the most stunning beaches in the world. Just 200 yards from the sand sits Hillend Camping Park. Though it spans 14 acres of lush meadowland, the feel is wonderfully rustic and vibrant. It’s no surprise that both The Times and The Observer consistently rank it among the UK’s top ten campsites.

• For the Active: A hub for surfers and water sports enthusiasts, with several excellent surf schools nearby.
• For the Wanderer: The Wales Coastal Path runs directly alongside the site, connecting you to a network of clifftop trails and hidden coves.
