Site Spotlight: Stratford upon Avon

We had a wonderful few days last weekend at the Newbury Motorhome Show. A very warm welcome to all our new readers—we thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and understanding exactly what you are looking for as you navigate your own motorhome journey.

I am frequently asked at these shows whether I own a GlamperRV myself. The truth is, I am incredibly spoilt; owning the business means I can use them all, and I certainly do! Whether it is a local overnight stay in a brand-new model to ensure everything is absolutely perfect, or a longer trip further afield, these vehicles are central to our lifestyle.

I have so many treasured memories of our children growing up on GlamperRV adventures, and I am now looking forward to many more trips with just my husband as we enter the empty-nest phase.

Site Spotlight: Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse

One of our first trips this spring took us in a 2026 GlamperRV to the Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse Touring Park. What a fabulous location!

Situated virtually on the racecourse itself (see photo above) and running parallel to the River Avon, it offers a wonderfully peaceful setting.  Even better, it is only a short, scenic stroll along the riverbank into the heart of the historic town.

My Highlights:

• The Perfect Morning Start: Just next to the river, you’ll find Bobby’s Café—a delightful spot to pick up a great quality fresh coffee and croissant to get you moving in the morning.
• A Touch of Theatrical Nostalgia: Stratford-upon-Avon holds a very special place in my heart. It brought back wonderful memories from my early marketing career when I worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s principal sponsor, hosting events at the theatre. Returning all these years later, I was delighted to find it has lost none of its historic charm.

That is the true joy of the motorhome lifestyle—revisiting beloved corners of our beautiful country and discovering new ones entirely on your own terms. It is all part of the journey.

If you are looking for a fantastic getaway within easy reach of our Buckinghamshire base, I cannot recommend this site highly enough.
