A Place That Feels Like It’s Always Been There 

Waterside Farm is a family-run campsite on the banks of beautiful Ullswater, and what a story it tells. Five generations of the same family have tended this working farm, and that sense of care, continuity and genuine warmth comes through the moment you arrive.

Perfectly positioned at the foot of Barton Fell, it’s an ideal base whether you’re lacing up your walking boots, hiring a paddleboard, casting a line, or simply sitting with a glass of something chilled and watching the light change on the water. The 20-mile Ullswater Way is on the doorstep for those who like a proper challenge — though with an e-bike, you might find yourself back for lunch!

The Finishing Touch: Fellside Sauna 

New to Waterside Farm and, frankly, rather wonderful — the Fellside Sauna. Imagine warming your bones in a lakeside sauna, then taking the plunge into the crystal-clear waters of Ullswater. Pure bliss, and the sort of experience that turns a lovely trip into an unforgettable one.

A Little Seasonal Magic

As a working farm with cattle and sheep, you may well be treated to the sight of newborn lambs and calves in the barn or surrounding fields at this time of year. It doesn’t get much more quintessentially British spring than that.
