As our fleet of GlamperRVs begin to resemble teenage children – back briefly for a wash and a fill up and off again on their next escapade – I thought I would share with you some of the incredible trips some of our lovely customers have been on in the hope that it gives you some ideas for your own GlamperRV adventure.
Not surprisingly events seem to make up a significant proportion of GlamperRV rentals with festivals, motorsport and cycling seeming the most popular. GlamperRV has so far this summer been to Glastonbury, Le Mans, Silverstone, Tour of Britain and Latitude with trips to Goodwood and Wilderness, amongst others, in the offing!
Customers report feeling rather smug on entering the paddock at these events and realising that they have by far the most stylish motorhome! Returning from a mud infested Glastonbury one customer told me ‘Not only did having the sanctuary of GlamperRV make our Glastonbury weekend, I don’t think I would have actually survived without it!’ Obviously the idea of being able to shower, blow dry your hair and snuggle up into luxury White Company bed linen at the end of a day wading through mud is certainly a selling point I will build on!
When GlamperRV is not at events they have been touring the UK however I have been applying for many European ‘Vehicle on Hire’ certificates so know that many trips to France and Italy are in the pipeline for our late summer customers. One is off to compete in an Ironman in France and another is planning a tour of Europe’s finest wild swimming spots – all sounds like good summer fun (well perhaps go easy on the Ironman part!)
One of the most popular UK destinations this spring has been Snowdon with customers staying across a mix of campsite (the touring park in Llanberis has been highly recommended) and Brit Stops locations, the common factor is that they all return with smiles on their faces, red fluffy dragons in their children’s arms and talk of rain, sun, rain in a mixture of priority. They certainly won the East/West divide of the sunshine during the May half term break when customers returned in flip flops and shorts to our freezing base in Buckinghamshire!
We have also sent GlamperRV off on multiple trips to experience the big skies of Norfolk with many following tips in our previous blog and coming back complaining that it was way too short and next time they are going for longer!
We are learning a lot in what is our first year of business, the most crucial being that we need to increase our fleet for 2017 so we can accommodate the many would be GlamperRV adventurers who we have had to turn away. So whilst we are fine tuning our business plan, which by the way includes the opportunity to buy your own GlamperRV or a GlamperRV franchise, have a great summer and we will be back with more trip ideas in September.
